About ISU
The International Space University (ISU) specializes in the education of postgraduates and professionals to prepare them for work in an exciting, progressive sector – Space! Or provide them with professional renewal while also increasing the space sector’s understanding of important new trends. Future leaders and influential thinkers need new skills and a global perspective to prepare them to meet the challenges of a constantly evolving world.
Since its founding in 1987, ISU has graduated more than 2500 students from 96 countries (status: September 2007). Together with hundreds of ISU faculty and lecturers from around the world, ISU alumni comprise an extremely effective network of space professionals and leaders that actively facilitates individual career growth, professional activities and international space cooperation.
Located in Strasbourg, France, ISU provides an incomparable opportunity for an international and interdisciplinary education at its Central Campus, and at locations around the world. Students and teachers come from all over the world, with experience in many fields related to the space sector, both technical – physical and life sciences, technology and engineering, applications, medicine – and non-technical – law, economics, humanities, art, policy, philosophy, history.
ISU offers two one-year Masters of Science (M. Sc.) degrees (M. Sc. in Space Studies (MSS) and M. Sc. in Space Management (MSM)), an intense nine-week Space Studies Program (SSP) held in a different location across the globe each year, an Annual three-day International Symposium, a one-week Executive Space Course providing an overview of space and of space-related subjects and a twelve-day Space Odyssey Institute designed to meet the needs of experiences participants. It also organizes a number of short courses on request that are tailored to the specifications of the company or organization needing a course. The courses may be prepared in cooperation with partner organizations and delivered at locations chosen by the customer. |
